Stanford evened the series with Vanderbilt Saturday afternoon at the Super Regional.

It was all thanks to a walk-off solo home run from Wayne Taylor.

The Commodores took a 1-0 lead in the second inning until Stanford punched back with two runs in the fourth.

The Cardinal lineup saw four different Vandy pitchers.

Carson Fulmer started the game and went six 1/3 innings before he was relieved by Jared Miller.

Later Brian Miller came in, followed by Adam Ravenelle, who was credited with the loss.

Stanford extended the lead to 4-1 in the seventh. Vanderbilt kept the game interesting by scoring two runs in the eighth and one run in the ninth to make the score 4-4.

Vandy left the bases loaded in the last two innings.

Wayne Taylor’s home run in the bottom of the ninth secured the win for the Cardinal.

The final game of the Super Regional will be played Sunday at 2 p.m.
