A man is fortunate after he was in a motorcycle accident Thursday morning and left with minor injuries.
Police on the scene said that around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Rio Vista and Old Hickory Boulevard the motorcyclist was hit from behind by a minivan.
The driver of the motorcycle was found on the ground and his bike was located nearby in a ditch.
He was lucky and didn’t suffer any broken bones or major injuries, just minor road rash to his hands.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
The injured man’s wife arrived on the scene after hearing the news from his co-workers and was relieved he hadn’t sustained any major injuries.
He was checked into Skyline Hospital following the accident. An update on his condition was not immediately known.
