A Lebanon man is behind bars in Wilson County on statutory rape charges in connection to an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating Travis Stargill in August of 2012.

During the course of the investigation, agents learned Stargill, 38, engaged in sexual intercourse with a minor female victim who was being trafficked for sex in the fall of 2011.

Stargill was indicted last month.

He surrendered and was booked into the Wilson County jail Wednesday. His bond was set at $25,000.
