A man was arrested and charged with his 13th DUI after he reportedly slammed into the wall of a hotel.
Police say Donnie Dunn, 56, was taken into custody after the crash at The Cumberland Inn on West Trinity Lane on May 19.
When authorities arrived, Dunn was reportedly located around the corner from the building, hunched over and very confused as to what happened.
He was transported to Skyline Medical Center for treatment.
An affidavit states Dunn’s injuries were consistent with being the driver during the crash and the car keys were located in his front pocket.
Police said Dunn admitted to taking two muscle relaxers.
He was charged with driving under the influence, an offense he has been arrested for at least 12 others times. He was convicted at least eight times.
Due to his history, Dunn was additionally charged with being a habitual offender in driving violations.
Authorities also found a syringe and spoon underneath the driver’s seat of the car, resulting in one count of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Dunn’s records show there is still an open case from June 2013 involving another DUI and habitual offender arrest.
His criminal record is extensive and not only includes several DUI charges, but also charges of indecent exposure, public intoxication, burglary, aggravated sexual battery and criminal trespassing.
He was booked into the Metro jail on $25,500 bond and is due in court Friday.
