A 39-year-old Gallatin man is charged with arson after he allegedly set a storage shed on fire and threatened to blow up an occupant inside the home.
The fire was reported in the 100 block of Hite Street, near South Water Avenue.
Upon their arrival, authorities located evidence of arson at the scene and determined Johnny “Dink” Whited had also attempted to set the home on fire.
During their investigation, it was determined Whited lived with the resident he threatened.
He was found hiding in some bushes located behind the home. He was taken into custody and is charged with aggravated arson.
