A 19-year-old wanted for murder since last December was arrested Tuesday.
Deion Woodruff is accused of shooting and killing 28-year-old Isaac Morris on December 17 inside an Edgehill apartment off 12th Avenue South.
Investigators believe Morris let Woodruff inside his apartment for the purpose of selling him electronic equipment.
A short time later, gunshots were heard and Woodruff fled the scene carrying a black bag believed to have been taken from Morris’ room.
Morris was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died shortly after.
Woodruff was identified as a suspect on December 19 and SWAT officers search his Straightway Avenue residence. They reportedly found the bag which contained computers belonging to Morris.
Warrants were issued for his arrest that day on charges of criminal homicide. He was finally captured Tuesday and booked into the Metro jail around 7:30 p.m.
His bond was set to $1,022,000.
