We have seen some warm temperatures so far this late spring, but not along with high humidity.
The extended outlook has us hitting 90 degrees for the first time this year as you can see on the top graphic (we have been 89 so far).
The satellite picture from Sunday morning shows morning showers in north Middle TN with steamy sunshine to the south of a warm front. There will be some pop up hit or miss style t’showers from the heat and humidity behind that front, but warm sunshine in between.
The third graphic shows the 40-50 degree dew points being replaced by 60 and eventually 70 degree readings, which will feel like the Gulf Coast.
It all adds up to a hot and humid Memorial Day and week to follow. The heat index this week should be in the mid to upper 90s as the week goes on, so take it easy working outside! See heat index chart in the 4th graphic.
