Vanderbilt eliminated at SEC Baseball Tournament

Poor hitting and wild pitching doomed Vanderbilt at the SEC Baseball Tournament. The Commodores fell to Ole Miss 7-2 Thursday and were eliminated from the tournament with their second loss.

The Commodores scored first for the third straight game with a 2 out RBI single from Vince Conde to make it 1-0.

The Rebels took a 2-1 lead and then pounced of Vanderbilt reliever Brian Miller scoring four runs in the seventh inning..

Vanderbilt threatened in the bottom of the inning, but Zander Wiel ended the threat when he struck out with the bases loaded

The Commodores managed only six runs in three games and lost two out of three.

Vanderbilt now waits for another NCAA Tournament bid Monday.
