A man was arrested after he allegedly fired several toward three people in Smyrna early this month.

Police stated on May 7 officers were dispatched to the 11000 block of Old Nashville Highway on reports of shots being fired.

They learned Michael Williams, 32, had confronted several people at the home because he was upset over property that he believed belonged to him.

Williams is accused of firing several shots from a handgun toward three people while leaving the residence.

No one was injured, but one bullet struck a car at a nearby home.

Williams was charged with three counts of attempted criminal homicide.

He was released from jail on $45,000. His court date was set for July 15.
