A La Vergne man was arrested Tuesday after allegations came to light that he inappropriately touched a female employee at his business.

David Driggers, 45, owns and operates Driggers Auto Sales at 527 Old Nashville Highway.

A 24-year-old employee told police that Driggers touched and rubbed her inappropriately Tuesday.

Once the report was taken, officers interviewed the victim and arrested Driggers at his business.

He was charged with one count of sexual battery, and later given a second charge of sexual battery as the result of another allegation of the same actions earlier this week.

He was booked into the Rutherford County jail on $5,000 and released two hours later.

His court date was set for June 30.

La Vergne police are asking anyone who may have additional information concerning such allegations against Mr. Driggers to contact Detective Kevin Stolinsky at 615-971-4076 or by e-mail at kstolinsy@lavergnetn.gov.
