The man wanted for gunning down a 22-year-old at a Bell Road apartment complex was arrested and charged early Thursday morning.
Eric Carter, also 22, was booked into the Metro jail just after 1 a.m. on charges of criminal homicide relating to the death of Michael Pillow.
Authorities said Pillow was at a relative’s apartment in the Summerwind Apartments located near Percy Priest Lake on May 6 when he allegedly disrespected Carter in some way.
Carter then walked over to a gold SUV and retrieved a firearm, possibly an AK-47, and summoned Pillow to come down and fight.
He and two other suspects are accused of gunning Pillow down as he came down the stairs and exited the breezeway.
An affidavit states Pillow attempted to run back upstairs, but was apparently chased by the gunmen.
He was shot multiple times throughout his body and died at the scene.
Carter is being held on $110,000 bond.
Anyone with information on the other suspects possibly involved in the shooting death of Michael Pillow is urged to contact Metro police at 615-74-CRIME.
