Two men from Denver were arrested in Rutherford County Wednesday after deputies reportedly found thousands of dollars of marijuana inside their car.

Exdier Ramirez and Maikel Marino, both 34, were pulled over for a traffic violation on Interstate 24 near Joe B. Jackson Parkway.

According to a release, 10 pounds of marijuana were found concealed between the rear speakers after deputies were given consent to search the car.

The drugs are worth a total of $20,000. Officers said they also found $622 in cash.

Ramirez and Marino were travelling from Denver to Tampa.

They were arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana then booked on $3,000.

The duo is expected to appear in court on August 26.
