The Nashville Sounds blew a late lead for the second straight game falling to the Iowa Cubs 2-1 in 10 innings Monday night in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Sounds closer, Donovan Hand, blew a 1-0 lead in the ninth when he gave up a solo homerun to the Cubs Lars Anderson. Javier Baez singled home the game winning run just one inning later.

Sounds starter Jimmy Nelson sparkled for six innings giving up only two hits and striking out nine.

Jeremy Hermida gave Nashville their only run with his third homer of the season during the first inning.

The Sounds and Iowa Cubs wrap up their series Tuesday afternoon.
