While Cleveland celebrated the selections of quarterback Johnny Manziel in the NFL Draft, former Titan Vince Young did not.
Young was released Monday, four days after the Browns took Manziel with the 22nd pick of the draft.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam announced the move with Young on Monday during a speech at a Pro Football Hall of Fame luncheon.
Young was signed by the Browns just 11 days ago after a tryout during the team’s voluntary mini-camp.
The former Heisman Trophy finalist and the third pick of the 2006 NFL Draft has not been on a regular season roster since 2011 when he was with Philadelphia.
In 2012, he was cut by the Buffalo Bills in training camp and last season he was cut by Green Bay.
The 30-year old Young has now been cut five times.
