It was a modern era draft record, and it was finally stopped by the Tennessee Titans after they selected running back Bishop Sankey in the second round of the NFL Draft Friday night.

The Titans were the first team to take a running back in the 2014 draft, ending a long wait for a running back to come off the board.

Sankey is from the University of Washington, where he holds the records for most rushing yards in a season and most career rushing touchdowns.

Using the pick they acquired at #54 from the Philadelphia Eagles, the Titans have five remaining selections Saturday, unless they make another trade to get into the third round.
