Shooting guard Kevin Punter became Tennessee head coach Donnie Tyndall’s second student athlete in his recruiting class.
Punter played the last two seasons at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri and still has two years of eligibility remaining.
Punter averaged 20.3 points and 4.6 rebounds a game last season.
Tennessee coach Donnie Tyndall stated in a release, “I’m extremely pleased and excited about Kevin’s decision to join our program here at Tennessee He’s a long, athletic perimeter player who can play multiple positions for us.”
Tyndall called Punter a “gym rat, which is exciting because guys like that who spend a lot of time in their gym always maximize their potential.”
He is the second player to sign with Tyndall since he was named the new head coach last month.
Forward Jabari McGhee signed with the Vols last Friday.
