A Honda sedan collided with a Land Rover in the 4200 block of Central Pike shortly around 6:45 p.m., pinning the driver of the Honda inside.

The driver was trapped for at least 20 minutes while the Nashville Fire Department used extrication tools to free him.

That driver was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by ambulance.

The two people in the SUV were taken to Summit Medical Center with minor injuries.

No details were immediately available about a cause for the accident.

The crash is under investigation.
