For the third time in his career, Nashville Predators Captain Shea Weber is a finalist for the Norris Trophy. The award is presented annually to the NHL’s outstanding defenseman.

Zdeno Chara of the Boston Bruins and Duncan Keith of the Chicago Blackhawks are the other two finalists for the award.

Weber led all defensemen in the NHL with 23 goals this season and set a Nashville record with 56 points.

Chara had 17 goals and helped Boston give up the second fewest goals in the league.

Keith led all defensemen with 55 assists and led the Blackhawks in ice time for the 9th straight season.

While Weber has never won the award, Chara and Keith have each taken it home once.

Chara won the award five years ago and Keith won it four years ago.
