Clarksville police have made an arrest following a hit-and-run earlier this month on Tiny Town Road.

Dashawna Saunders, 18, was struck near Twelve Oaks Boulevard on the night of April 4. She was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where she was treated and released.

Scott Murphy, 30, was arrested Tuesday night on charges of leaving the scene of a crash and driving on a revoked license. Police said his license had been revoked following a 2007 DUI conviction.

During an interview with detectives, Murphy admitted to driving the vehicle that hit Saunders and fleeing the crash scene.

He told police he had outstanding warrants and was scared. He said at the time he did not know what he hit with his vehicle.

Murphy was booked into the Montgomery County jail on $15,000 bond.
