New information was released about a rezoning plan for three new Williamson County schools expected to open in 2016.

The school district’s communications director told News 2 the plan was passed at Monday night’s school board meeting.

Mill Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Middle, and Nolensville High schools will share a campus off York Road.

According to Williamson County Schools
, Mill Creek Elementary School will open with kindergarten through fifth grades.

Mill Creek Middle School will open with sixth through eighth grades, and Nolensville High School will open to only freshmen and sophomores.

Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney held two meetings with parents earlier this month to gather input on how best to zone the new schools.

Dr. Looney then presented the plan to the school board Monday.
