Chris Johnson agreed to a two-year deal with the Jets last week. His contract has an $8 million base value, and when broken down he’ll get $3 million when he signs and has a $1 million base salary for the 2014 season.
Johnson has a $500,000 optional bonus for next spring and if the Jets choose to pick that up, he’ll have a $3.5 million base salary for next season.
Johnson also has a $1 million performance clause, which could bump his contract up to $4.5 million next year.
The Titans drafted Johnson with the 24th pick in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He was released earlier this month.
