Tennessee State University officially introduced Dana Ford as its new head men’s basketball coach Monday in Nashville.

Ford was an assistant at Illinois State and takes over for Travis Williams who was fired after just two seasons and only 23 victories including only five last season.

Ford was an assistant under former head coach John Cooper from 2009-11. He spent one season as an assistant at Wichita State and the last two at Illinois State where he was a player a decade ago.
