A man accidentally shot his father-in-law while hunting in Cedar Hill.
According to Smokey Barn News, the incident happened Friday around 2 p.m. in the 3000 block of Glen Raven Road.
Authorities said the father-in-law was standing downhill when he was hit several times.
When first responders arrived, the victim had stop bleeding; however he was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by life flight since he had wounds to his head, neck and chest.
His injuries were not life-threatening.
Authorities said the shooting was accidental because the son-in-law did not see his father-in-law when he shot his gun.
