A man was shot during a robbery at a north Nashville apartment complex late Tuesday night.
Police said they arrived to the Granstaff Apartments on Rosa Parks Boulevard just after 10 p.m. and found spent bullets, blood and evidence of a struggle, but no victim.
Officers were then notified a gunshot victim drove himself to the St. Thomas Midtown with a leg wound.
The victim told police he was approached by one suspect while he was standing in the parking lot.
The suspect was armed and demanded money, then shot the victim once in the leg after he complied with the demands.
The suspect reportedly fled on foot. Authorities called a K9 team and brought in aviation to search for the suspect, but he was not located.
He is described as a black male in his mid-40s wearing a brown jacket and black hat.
