The Vanderbilt Commodores concluded their first Black and Gold game Saturday morning under new head coach Derek Mason.

It was offense against defense, and it was more about getting the new plays in than keeping score.

The offense won the day with a 60 yard touchdown run from Ralph Webb and a two yard bootleg from Patton Robinette.

After the scrimmage, the players said they were happy with how the day went. Coach Mason said they accomplished everything they needed to during spring football.
