A 9-month-old Pakistani boy has been booked on a charge of attempted murder.
According to reports, the boy's family members severely injured police officials trying to collect an unpaid gas bill by throwing bricks at them in early February.
In addition to other family members, the baby boy was fingerprinted by police in court and charged with attempted murder.
“The police filed a wrong, false arrest charge sheet and brought this innocent 9-month-old into this court room for an appearance,” the family's lawyer, Irfan Tarar, told CNN.
The Pakistani official responsible for registering the case against the boy has been suspended, but charges were still filed.
The 9-month-old is out on bail but is scheduled to be back in court April 12.
