A man is jailed for the beating death of his mother-in-law more than two decades after her murder.
Annis Szekely, 70, was found dead inside her Woodland Street home by her grandson on March 7, 1993.
At the time, authorities said she suffered significant head trauma and was tied to her hospital bed.
Szekely's former son-in-law, John Hernandez, has now been indicted for first degree murder.
Police said prior to her death, Hernandez had lived with Szekely, along with his wife and two children. At the time of the murder the pair was separated.
Hernandez is being held without bond at the Metro jail.
