Louisiana Tech is turning to Pat Summitt's son, Tyler, to turn around its women's basketball program.
Tyler Summitt, 23, was hired as the new head coach of the Lady Techtsters Tuesday.
Summitt is just the sixth head coach in the history of Tech's storied program. He replaces Teresea Weatherspoon who was fired after only five seasons.
Summitt spent the last two years as an assistant at Marquette.
His mother led Tennessee to eight national championships.
