The Belmont Bruins came up one win short of a trip to Madison Square Garden for the NIT's Final Four.
Belmont fell at Clemson 73-68 Tuesday night in the tournament's quarter-finals.
The Bruins trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half before running out to a six point lead in the second half.
With 3:52 left the Bruins led 66-61 and looked like they were headed for New York City, but the Tigers finished the game with a 12-2 run for the win.
Damarcus Harrison had 16 points for Clemson, 14 of them came in the second half.
Craig Bradshaw led the Bruins with 21 points. Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year JJ Mann scored 20 in his final game for the Bruins who finish the season 26-10.
