Tennessee beats Mercer 83-63 advancing to Sweet 16

The Tennessee Volunteers are headed to the Sweet 16 after a dominant 83-63 win over Mercer in Raleigh Sunday.

Tennessee continued to dominate the paint led by Junior Center Jarnell Stokes.  Stokes finished with 18 rebounds in the game while Mercer had 19 as a team.  

Josh Richardson continued his offensive explosion leading Tennessee with 26 points.

Richardson is averaging 20 points a game in the NCAA Tournament.  Antonio Barton hit four 3-point field goals and finished with 18 points.  Stokes had 17 points for Tennessee and also added a team high five assists.

It marked the third win for the Vols in only five days, all of them by double figures.

They advance to Indianapolis to meet the second seeded Michigan Wolverines in round  four of the NCAA Tournament.
