Police arrested a man who allegedly sold counterfeit Gibson guitars to businesses in Nashville and Murfreesboro earlier this month.
Wade Massey is said to have sold the guitars to seven different businesses over a four-week period.
Authorities were notified after a business took the guitars to be appraised and were told the instruments were not authentic.
Massey reportedly said he was unaware the guitars he sold were counterfeit.
He was charged with criminal simulation and has since been released on bond.
Massey is scheduled to appear in court March 26.
