Four former employees of the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute were arrested Monday for assaulting a patient at the Nashville facility last year.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation discovered during their investigation Edward Fisher, Jonathan Hambrick, Mark Williams and Charles Woods, who were all psychiatric technicians at the time, kicked the male patient in face and stuck him in the chest multiple times.

At the time of the incident, authorities said the victim was housed at the facility for a court-ordered competency evaluation.

All four men are charged with assault and official oppression. Each were booked into the Metro jail on $10,000 bonds each.
