An 8-year-old Clarksville-Montgomery County student had to be treated for minor injuries after her school bus ran over her foot Thursday.
Clarksville officials told News 2 the incident happened shortly before 4 p.m. near the intersection of Monroe Street and Swift Drive.
When the bus driver, Elizabeth Self, stopped to let the kids off the bus, an 8-year-old kneeled down to tie her shoe.
The bus then rolled over the girl's right foot as the driver started to make a turn onto Swift Drive.
The student was treated at Gateway Medical Center for minor injuries.
Self said she became distracted when a car ran the stop arm of the school bus and almost hit another pedestrian.
