A Murfreesboro man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after he accidentally shot himself while cleaning his gun.
Justin Coker, 22, was removing bullets from his .40-caliber handgun so he could clean it when his grip slipped, causing a round to fire.
Coker sustained an injury to his thigh.
Coker's wife took him to a local hospital before he was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
His condition was not immediately available.
