The Vols used a strong defensive performance to defeat South Carolina 59-44 in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.
Jarnell Stokes led Tennessee (21-11, 11-7 SEC) with 22 points, matching his season high, and made nine of his fourteen shots. Jordan McRae added 14 points, while Antonio Barton struggled to find his way on offense and had just one point in the victory.
Brenton Williams led South Carolina with just nine points, while both Mindaugas Kacinas and Duane Notice contributed eight.
The Vols extended their winning streak to five games, dating back to the 75-68 win over Mississippi State. Tennessee has not trailed in any game during its winning streak.
The Vols will play No. 1 Florida, which defeated Missouri 72-49 earlier today, in the semifinals tomorrow at noon on ABC.
