Forbes Magazine has put Memphis and Knoxville in their top five picks for the most affordable cities in the nation.
The magazine analyzed home prices and median incomes for the country's largest cities to help determine the most affordable. The cost of living, including gas and grocery costs, were also factored in.
With a budget of $140,000, Knoxville residents can purchase a 1,750 square foot home, as opposed to much smaller options in other cities.
Buffalo, New York and Cincinnati, Ohio also ranked high on the list of affordable cities to live.
