Vanderbilt is set to take on Mississippi State in the first round of the SEC tournament Wednesday night.

In the first matchup earlier this season, the Commodores (15-15, 7-11 SEC) edged out Mississippi St. (13-18, 3-15) for a 55-49 victory.

Rod Odom scored 18 points in the win for Vanderbilt. The win came during a four game winning streak for the Commodores.

Since that winning streak, the Commodores struggled throughout the rest of the season. They lost seven out of the next ten, including four straight to end the season.

The Bulldogs started the season 18-5 but fell apart in SEC play, losing the final thirteen games of their season.

Tip-off is set for 8:30 CT at the Georgia Dome.
