PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WKRN) – A Knoxville man was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle DUI crash in Panama City Beach, Fla.

Panama City Beach Police say a Ford Taurus driven by Bruce George, 18, of Nolensville, Tenn., collided with a Panther scoot car operated by Brandon Beverly, 22, of Knoxville, near a golf course.

Beverly was ejected from the scoot car. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

George has been charged with DUI manslaughter and could face more charges as the investigation continues.

Panama City, Fla., newspaper The News Herald reports a judge on Monday set George’s bail at $100,000 and police say additional charges could be added.

Panama City Beach police say George’s blood alcohol content was 0.159, nearly twice the limit at which a driver is considered impaired in Florida.
