The switch to Conference USA did not slow down Middle Tennessee State University star Ebony Rowe who was named the league's Player of the Year Monday.
Rowe is fifth in the NCAA with 23 double-doubles. She actually averaged a double-double for the season topping 21 points and 11 rebounds a game.
This is the fifth time a Blue Raider has won league player of the year since Rick Insell took over. Chrissy Givens and Alysha Clark each won it twice while Middle Tennessee was a member of the Sun Belt Conference.
Also Monday, Middle Tennessee's Olivia Jones was named Conference USA's Freshman of the Year.
Jones averaged over eight points and six rebounds a game while leading MTSU with 67 steals on the season.
