Vanderbilt defeats No. 25 Stanford 4-1

Vanderbilt scored four runs to defeat No. 25Stanford 4-1 Friday.

The Commodores scored first on a sacrifice fly by VinceConde that brought in Bryan Reynolds.

Xavier Turner grounded out to second inthe bottom of the third, but John Norwood scores to make it 2-0 Vanderbilt.

The Cardinals only run of the night came in the top of thefourth when Danny Diekroeger scored after Alex Blandino grounded out to third.

Chris Harvey singled to center field and got the RBI whenNolan Rogers scored to make it 3-1. Vanderbilt's fourth and final run of thenight came in the fifth inning on a Dansby Swanson homerun to left field.

The Commodores are hosting No. 25 Stanford for a three gameseries this weekend.
