Police say the man and woman killed earlier this week in two different shootings were romantically linked.
Metro police spokesperson Don Aaron stated Gregory Johnson and Daresha Cole, both shot to death overnight Sunday in separate incidents, had been in a relationship.
He noted it was unclear if their relationship was still going on when they died.
Police previously reported they were investigating if the shootings themselves were connected, and they still believe they were but say it's too early to tell how.
The shootings took place several hours apart in different neighborhoods in Nashville.
Johnson, 26, was shot near in east Nashville around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Cole, 19, was shot just after 2 a.m. Monday in Madison.
Information regarding a possible suspect has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
