The Vanderbilt Commodores will face the numberone team in the country Tuesday night when the Florida Gators visit MemorialGym. The Gators have yet to lose a conference game this season and are 25-2overall.
Vanderbilt is coming off and exciting win over Auburn inwhich the Commodores overcame a 16-point deficit to defeat the Tigers 67-59.
The gave the Dores a 7-7 record in the conference play and 15-11 overall.
The Commodores have held their own against number oneranked teams in the past. Their most recent was a 71-64 win over number oneKentucky in the 2012 SEC Tournament.
Vanderbilt has won four of their last fivehome games against number one ranked teams.
Senior guard Kyle Fuller was a member of the Vanderbiltteam that defeated Kentucky two years ago and knows what it takes to knock offa top ranked team. “Effort,” he says. “It takes effort and alsoexecution. We need people to make shots and we need to continue to fight.”
Tip off between the Commodores and Gators is set for6:00pm Tuesday at Memorial Gym.
