Good Morning America recently chose a Mt. Juliet couple for their “great car giveaway” and Friday they received the keys at the Nelson Mazda in downtown Nashville.
The couple was one of three winners out of tens of thousands submitted for a new car.
Nominated by their neighbor, the national TV crew profiled the parents of 10 and their family van that was struggling to make it. The mini-van broke down just two weeks before they received the keys to their new car.
“We kind of had to get creative and rent a vehicle, so I can get back and forth to work,” winner Kristi Mullins explained to News 2.
The family says they are truly blessed for the opportunity and no doubt needed a new vehicle, but their minds are still not on themselves.
“You know there's always more people that are more deserving, you know what I mean? There's people out there that may live in their van, you know? So for us it was a complete surprise,” said Sam Mullins.
The Mullins were one of three winners chosen from the across the country.
