Murfreesboro police arrested an alleged drunk driver after he was observed driving without a wheel.
Officers stopped 26-year-old Jerry Hodge on South Church Street early Thursday morning.
Right off the bat he told police he had a flat tire but failed to mention the missing wheel.
According to the arrest report, Hodge's car was “missing its tire and wheel on the passenger side rear and the front passenger wheel had no tire on it.”
Officers reported Hodge smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.
He told officers he was on his way to Bell Buckle, where he lives, from downtown Nashville.
Hodge was arrested after failing field sobriety tests and charged with DUI.
Police said Hodge was previously convicted of DUI in January 2013.
