A former deputy in Marshall County has been arrested for stealing tires from the sheriff's department.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating Larry Hardin last month after learning he put the tires, valued at over $500, on his girlfriend's car.
Hardin, 59, has since resigned from sheriff's department.
He was arrested Wednesday after he was indicted by a Marshall County grand jury on charges of theft over $500 and official misconduct
Hardin was booked into the Marshall County jail on a $2,500 bond.
