FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky State Police have started an Instagram account.
State police already make announcements and give updates on Facebook and Twitter, and now they are adding the online photo-sharing service to their social media lineup.
State police spokesman Sgt. Michael Webb says the Instagram account will differ from the agency's Facebook and Twitter feeds.
He says the app will be used to share “photos of troopers and civilian staff at work and play.”
Webb says adding Instagram to the current social media lineup will increase interaction with the 18- to 24-year-old demographic.
