A band of snow showers moved across northwest parts of Middle Tennessee Monday morning. Between a quarter-inch and a half-inch of snow fell in the Dover community. Places like Paris and Clarksville also experienced some snow showers before the activity pushed east around midday.
Temperatures in the middle and upper 20s mean that the snow briefly stuck to the roads, especially in areas that are not heavily traveled. As the snow showers push across the northern Cumberland Plateau during the early afternoon, drivers should be aware of slippery travel conditions.
Another weather system is expected to push across Mississippi and Alabama late tonight through Tuesday morning. Some snow showers will be possible for far southern portions of Tennessee during this time frame.
