After getting hit in the face with a puck Thursday in Minnesota, Nashville Predators General Manager David Poile is staying in St. Paul after two successful surgeries to the nose and eye areas.
He is resting and recovering and will remain in the hospital for further observation.
His return to Nashville has yet to be determined pending a doctor's evaluation.
Poile is also the General Manager of the United States men's Olympic hockey team and was scheduled to leave for Sochi on Sunday.
The Predators released a statement Friday saying he won't make that trip as scheduled, but that he does look forward to joining Team USA during the Olympics.
The Predators host the Anaheim Ducks Saturday night at Bridgestone in their last game before the Olympic break.
