Lebanon police arrested a man wanted in connection to a Mt. Juliet convenience store armed robbery Friday.

According to police, Zachary Phillips entered the Daily's store located on North Mt. Juliet Road wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun around 1:20 a.m.

Upon entering the store, Phillips pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the 24-year-old fled in a blue sedan.

Officers in nearby Lebanon spotted Phillips' vehicle on Interstate 40 and initiated a stop.

After receiving permission to search his car, police discovered a replica of a black handgun.

Phillips was arrested and booked into the Wilson County jail on a $40,000 bond. He is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and theft of property.

He is scheduled to appear in court April 24.
