Vanderbilt's Magnificent Seven continue to amaze. Rod Odom scored 26 points and Vanderbilt took down Tennessee 64-60 Wednesday at Memorial Gym.
The Dores built a 10 point halftime lead at 36-26, but that lead was gone when Tennessee tied the game at 53 with just over six minutes to play.
Odom hit a huge 3-point basket with :49 seconds to play to stretch the lead back out to six at 62-56 and Tennessee could not recover.
It is the fourth win in a row for Vanderbilt.
Jordan McRae led Tennessee with 16. Jarnell Stokes had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
For the Vols it is another disappointing loss and a missed opportunity against a team with only seven scholarship players.
Tennessee falls to 14-8 with the loss, Vandy improves to 13-8. Both teams are 5-4 in the SEC.
